Dok HDZ u gradu čini se, usred ljeta spava zimski san, barem takav dojam imam jer ne raspolažem nikakvim informacijama o njihovim aktivnostima, u SDP-u svako malo izlaze u javnost sa nekim novim inicijativama. Mic po mic, na taj način polako ali sigurno skupljaju nove glasove. Jesu li pri tome samo pragmatični ili istinski dijele brigu oko milijun problema, treba sačekati i vidjeti. U HDZ-u to nekome očito nije jasno i takav način rada, čini se, nešto im je potpuno strano. Što će od svega biti ostvareno teško je reći, ali sigurno je da se u SDP-u trude s građanima podijeliti njihove probleme. Ne treba biti posebno pametan, da se vidi kako se SDP-ovci ozbiljno pripremaju za lokalne izbore. Tako će u rujnu, kako su već i prije najavili, provesti anketu o tome, kakav Ogulin Ogulinci žele. Za kvalitetan Plan i njegovu kasniju realizaciju nužno je sudjelovanje zajednice, odnosno svih građana. Uključivanjem javnosti želimo osigurati transparentan proces, te osigurati konsenzus svih dionika. Funkcioniranje demokracije na lokalnoj razini nam je vrlo važno. Radi toga želimo omogućiti svakom članu lokalne zajednice da sudjeluje u osmišljavanju plana, kao i u njegovom kasnijem provođenju i nadzoru. Strateški plan se mora temeljiti na zajednici. Smjer kojim će teći gospodarski razvoj grada se tiče svih koji žive u njemu. U tom smislu nužno je sudjelovanje svih građana, odnosno svih dionika.
Za naš lokalni ekonomski razvoj odgovorni smo najviše mi sami. Najprije si sami moramo pomoći, tek nakon toga imamo pravo tražiti i očekivati pomoć od drugih: od Vlade, Županije ili Europske unije. U tom smislu molimo građanke i građane dobre volje, kojima je dobrobit grada u interesu, da se priključe ovoj inicijativi i sudjeluju u izradi plana gospodarskog razvoja.
